MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Membership: Individuals who administer
the personnel, labor relations and/or human resource function(s), or a
portion of these functions in a healthcare facility located within the
State of Washington.
A healthcare facility shall be defined as an acute care hospital, a
chemical dependency or psychiatric facility, a clinic, health maintenance
organization, skilled nursing facility, or other organizations whose
purpose is to deliver healthcare to either the general population or a
special segment thereof.
Associate Membership: Individuals who administer
the personnel, labor relations and/or human resource function(s), or a
portion of these functions in a healthcare facility located within the
states of Oregon, Alaska,
Idaho, and Montana. A healthcare facility shall be
defined as an acute care hospital, a chemical dependency or psychiatric
facility, a clinic, health maintenance organization, skilled nursing
facility, or other organization whose purpose is to deliver healthcare to
either the general population or a special segment thereof.
Consultant Membership: Individuals whose primary
function is human resource/personnel administration consulting.
Student Membership: Individuals who are actively
enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program in personnel, labor
relations or healthcare management.
Business Partner Membership:� Individuals who provide services as
vendors to healthcare facilities.
Emeritus Membership: Former practitioner members who
are no longer active in the profession due to retirement or disability.

Who is eligible to join WSHHRA?
WSHHRA welcomes new members who provide the personnel, labor relations and/or human resource function(s) at a healthcare facility located within the State of Washington. Separate membership categories also exist for associate, consultant, student, business partner and emeritus members.
What membership categories are available?
Categories include Membership, Associate Membership, Consultant Membership, Student Membership, Business Partner Membership and Emeritus Membership. Each category is described in the Membership Categories section above.
How much does membership cost?
Dues vary by membership type and organization size. The 2018 membership rates are listed in the 2018 Membership section above, and the PayPal form lets you select the appropriate membership type.
How do I apply for membership?
You can apply on-line using the on-line membership form, download the membership application form, or use the ADA membership application form. Payment can be made through PayPal.
Can I join if my organization is outside Washington?
Individuals at healthcare facilities in Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Montana may qualify for Associate Membership. See the Associate Membership description above for details.
