Compensation and Benefits Specialist

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist administers compensation and benefits programs, policies and practices according to plan documents and summary plan descriptions. The incumbent maintains databases and related systems, and provides support in conducting surveys and related research and analysis. The incumbent facilitates communication and problem resolution for compensation and benefits issues in the organization.

Minimum of 3 years experience in compensation and benefits administration, preferably in an organization with 500 or more employees. Health care experience and experience in other functional areas of human resources is preferred. Demonstrated skill and knowledge of an HRIS and PC software applications, Word, Excel and Access is required. Experience in database administration is preferred. Must have strong math and analytical skills and the ability to compile and interpret data and information in a logical format. Must have demonstrated effectiveness at problem solving and prioritizing workloads in a high volume, stressful work environment. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Must be able to deliver difficult information concerning compensation and benefits problems and issues.

Bachelor�s degree in Human Resources, Business or related area required. Specialized training in compensation and benefits preferred.
