Who We Are
The Washington State Healthcare Human Resource Association (WSHHRA) is a statewide membership organization of human resource professionals who work in health care institutions or in organizations connected to health care. We are affiliated with the national American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA). Over the years, WSHHRA has grown to more than 100 members. Joining is voluntary, and a nominal dues payment is due on the anniversary of your first dues payment (a rolling 12-month cycle). Each year we hold one state conference in the fall. Our conferences aim to combine diverse, relevant topics with networking opportunities and enjoyable social activities. Conference attendance is approved for SPHR/PHR educational credits through the Society of Human Resource Management. Conferences are generally scheduled as two-day events, beginning Wednesday afternoon and ending at noon on Friday. Along with our strong conferences, networking opportunities and sponsored surveys give members valuable resources. Reaching out to fellow members with specific questions has proven to be one of the best benefits of membership and a real asset for your HR toolbox. Our Association's web site (www.wshhra.org) hosts archived newsletters, conference agendas and registration, legislative updates, and much more. Because the site exists solely to provide information that is useful to our members, we welcome your feedback and input.
